Rajesh Shukla received his training in architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and in 1986 completed his Post graduation in Landscape architecture from the same school in the year 1988. He established his firm Quintessence in 1990 & has been actively involved in several Landscape Architecture, Architecture and Conservation projects. He has been  a visiting faculty member in Department of Landscape Architecture, SPA, Delhi and for a short duration in Department of Conservation SPA, Delhi. He has also been selected as advisor to Bihar Urban Infrastructure development Corporation Limited/DHV India for providing advisory services and technical support. Currently he is a  Member of the Technical Expert committee NABET working to develop an accreditation scheme for Qualified Building Environment Auditors (QBEAs) incorporating instructions issued by the MoEFCC, Government of India.

Some of the largest projects executed under his design consultancy include Sahara Aamby Valley (2000 acres) in Lonavala , Reliance Corporate Park (500 acres) in  Mumbai, Theme park around the tallest temple in the world for Krishna (40 acres) in Vrindavan etc. He has also won many National & International level design competitions during the practice & is also involved in green building techniques, traditional practices, sustainable landscapes in his works and has given lectures across various colleges.
